Quick Answer: The Roomba Plus 507 Combo (model N186020) is a certified variant of the Roomba Plus 505 Combo: same size and weight, same ClearView Pro LiDAR, PrecisionVision AI camera, extending DualClean mop pads and self-emptying AutoWash dock. Tom’s Guide, which tested the 505, still names it the best Roomba overall (94.75 on hardwood, 88.9 on carpet). The problem is the price: iRobot’s US store listed the Plus 507 at $999.99 on November 5, 2026, while its own newer Plus 575 Combo was $499.99 with a hot-water dock and what iRobot calls 3.5x the Plus 505’s suction. Buy the 507 only near $400, the price Slickdeals users have posted for it at Costco.com.

Most shoppers meet the Roomba Plus 507 at Costco or another retailer, while iRobot’s own Robot Vacuums + Mops shop page no longer lists it at all. This review explains what the 507 is, what independent reviewers found on the identical Plus 505, and how its price compares with the rest of iRobot’s 2026 lineup. We don’t test robots ourselves: the performance figures below come from Tom’s Guide, Just A Dad Approved and iRobot’s own product pages, and each one names its source.

Roomba Plus 507 by the numbers

What the Roomba Plus 507 actually is

iRobot does not explain the 507 name anywhere on its site, but the certification record does. In the Connectivity Standards Alliance’s Matter database, the Roomba Plus 507 Combo (N186020) is filed under the Plus 505 product family (N185020), and its product description is the Plus 505’s text, word for word. The two US product pages agree: both robots measure 14.1 x 13.8 x 4.2 inches, weigh 9.44 lb, ship in the same 18.1 x 15.0 x 19.8 inch box and list the same features.

The differences we found are small:

In other words, the 507 is the Plus 505 under a retail model number. Everything independent reviewers found about the 505 applies to it.

Roomba Plus 507 Combo + AutoWash Dock

Plus 505 variant · LiDAR + PrecisionVision AI camera · extending spinning mops · auto-empty and pad-washing dock · $999.99 list
  • The same robot Tom's Guide names the best Roomba overall, with strong pickup on hardwood and carpet.
  • Camera-based obstacle avoidance, which iRobot's cheaper Plus 415 and Plus 515 don't have.
  • Cold-water pad washing, a single brush that tangles with long hair, and a list price $500 above iRobot's own Plus 575.

A fair price is $400 to $450. Above $500, iRobot’s own Plus 575 is the better buy.

How the Plus 505 platform performed for reviewers

Because the 507 is a Plus 505 variant, the useful independent results are the ones published for the 505. Two outlets have published scored results, and they disagree sharply.

Tom’s Guide (best Roombas guide, updated October 12, 2026) names the Plus 505 Combo its best Roomba overall. Its reviewer used the robot for several months in a home with a toddler and a dog and praised its carpet cleaning, corner pickup and mopping, which left floors scrubbed and dry rather than streaky. The only downsides it lists are an inconsistent Spot Clean mode and an app that “could be glitchy at times”.

Just A Dad Approved (updated October 22, 2026) used the same robot for three months and rated it 6.2 out of 10, a “Skip It”. It called obstacle avoidance one of the best in the Roomba family, but marked the robot down for hair wrapping on its single brush roll, low auto-empty suction, which it says can let the bin clog, and pads washed in cold water. It also failed iRobot’s PerfectEdge claim: the pads extend, but its tester found corner coverage still suffered.

The two sets of results fit together better than the headline scores suggest. Both reviewers found the vacuuming and the obstacle avoidance good. The weak spots are long hair and pet hair on carpet (Tom’s Guide’s lowest score, 72.5, and Just A Dad Approved’s 4 of 10 tangle score) and the mopping system, which Tom’s Guide liked and Just A Dad Approved rated 6 of 10. Our Roomba Plus 505 review collects more reviewer findings, including complaints about noise during auto-empty.

The dock: automated, but no hot water

The AutoWash dock does four jobs, according to iRobot. It empties the robot’s bin into a bag (iRobot claims 75 days between bag changes), sends the robot back during a run to refresh its pads, washes and dries the pads at the end, and runs a self-cleaning cycle that pumps water through the dock tray. iRobot rates the clean and dirty tanks for 4 weeks, based on one mopping run per week. Mop more often and you refill sooner.

What the dock doesn’t do is heat the wash water. Just A Dad Approved lists cold-water pad washing as a drawback of the identical Plus 505, and iRobot’s 507 page never mentions heat. That matters because iRobot has added heat to almost every newer model: the Plus 415 heat-dries its pads at 113°F, the Plus 515 and Plus 575 wash at 167°F and dry at 113°F, and the Plus 678 washes at 176°F and dries at 131°F, all according to iRobot’s own product pages.

Set the dock on a hard floor at least 4 feet from any stairs, iRobot says, with enough open space for the robot to drive in and out.

The price problem: iRobot undercuts the 507 with its own robots

On November 5, 2026, iRobot’s US store sold the Plus 507 for more than most of its newer combos. Here is the lineup as listed that day:

Sources: iRobot US product and shop pages checked November 5, 2026; Pa figures and the 875’s specs from Vacuum Wars’ September 2026 launch article (last updated October 2, 2026). Suction multiples are iRobot’s own comparisons, each against the model named. “n/a” means we did not verify that spec this run.

Three things stand out:

  1. The Plus 575 is the 507’s direct replacement and costs half as much. It keeps ClearView Pro LiDAR and PrecisionVision AI, and iRobot’s footnotes say it has 3.5x the suction of the Plus 505 and a body 46% smaller by volume. It also climbs 35 mm thresholds and dispenses cleaning solution automatically. Even after the sale ends on November 7, its $799.99 list price is $200 below the 507.
  2. The 507 costs more than the Plus 678. At $899.99, the 678 adds a heated roller mop, SealForce carpet sealing and a 90-day dock, for $100 less than the 507.
  3. Only the 415 and 515 lack the camera. If obstacle avoidance is the reason you want a Plus 505-class robot, skip those two: they navigate with ClearView LiDAR only.

None of the newer models has published lab results yet. Tom’s Guide says its reviews of the new range are still in progress, and Vacuum Wars’ launch article for the 678 and 875 lists manufacturer specs only. That is the one argument for the 507: its platform has months of independent results behind it. It only works at a Costco-level price.

Where the Plus 507 makes sense

Several Slickdeals community posts have listed the Plus 507 at $399.99 with free shipping on Costco.com, 60% below iRobot’s list price. At that price it competes with the Plus 415 ($379.99 on sale), and the 507 is the better robot for cluttered homes because it has the camera the 415 lacks. Costco.com showed the in-warehouse option as unavailable, so expect it online only and check stock before you plan around it. Our Costco robot vacuum guide covers how Costco’s return window works for robots.

Ownership is a second consideration. iRobot went through a court-supervised restructuring in late 2025 and was acquired by Picea in February 2026. Tom’s Guide reports that iRobot says it will keep supporting current products with customer service, software updates and warranty coverage. Check that replacement bags, filters and mop pads are in stock before buying an older model at clearance prices.

Who should buy the Roomba Plus 507

No US safety recall is listed for any iRobot robot: searches of the CPSC recall database for “iRobot” and “Roomba” returned no results on November 5, 2026.

The bottom line

The Roomba Plus 507 Combo is a Plus 505 under a retail model number, so it inherits the 505’s strengths: strong hardwood and carpet pickup in Tom’s Guide’s tests (94.75 and 88.9), good camera-based obstacle avoidance, and a dock that empties, washes and dries without help for weeks. It also inherits the weak spots: pet-hair tangles, cold-water pad washing and an app reviewers call glitchy. At iRobot’s $999.99 list price, it costs twice as much as iRobot’s own Plus 575 ($499.99 through November 7) and more than the Plus 678. Buy the 507 near $400, as Costco.com has offered it, or buy the 575 instead.
